Doug is a lifelong resident of Erie County. A resident of Millcreek for over 45 years. Retired from the Erie School District after 36 years, as the Administrator of Management Information Systems (Chief Information Officer). Responsible for all aspects of InformationbTechnology including Hardware, Software and Budgeting.

Tech Memorial Graduate with a trade certificate in Data Processing. Programming and Data Analyst classes at Penn State and Edinboro.

Certificate in Business Management from the AMA and Mercyhurst University.

Treasurer of the Erie Jaycees. Treasurer of the Data Processing Management Association.

Member of the St George Parish Council.

Usher at St George Parish for 18 years.

Married to Christine Holmgren. Together we have 5 children. 3 still reside in Millcreek

Reason for running for Study Commission:

Doug is interested to see if there is a better way to run Millcreek Township, that can improve services for the residents and reduce costs that could lower taxes. Doug strongly believes if we do not research options, as a Township we may never know. He is not looking for change for the sake of change, he is looking for change if it IS needed. He will present the options to the Township voters and let them decide.
