Art was born, raised, educated, raised a family and started a business in Erie County. A graduate of Cathedral Prep and a BA degree in Business from then, Mercyhurst College.
Married for 49 years to Ruth (Gleisner) Oligeri, three adult children, and four grandchildren.
In 1985 opened a retail store in Millcreek Township, Marshall Shoes, later dba Meeker Marshall Shoes/Shoe Fly. A successful businessman for 30+ years, part of the business world for 50+ years.
President of West Erie Plaza Merchants Association – 12 years; President of St. George Parish Council -3 years; President of St. George School Board -1 year; Chair couple of various church activities; St. George Usher -20+ years; St. George/youth soccer coach -10 years; Chairman of National Barber Institute Shillelagh Golf Committee; Political candidate in 2005, 2017
Reason for running for Study Commission:
Art is running for the commission to Study Millcreek Government because after 200 years, we need to evaluate how we spend our tax dollars as compared to other Townships of our size and to look for “best practices”
